Trade Union leaders discuss implementation of action prog

SRINAGAR, Dec 6:  Different trade union leaders of the State today held a joint meeting here today to discuss the implementation of action programme chalked out by all the Central Trade Unions of the country, culminating in a nationwide historical strike on February 20 and 21, 2013.
The meeting was presided over by Mohd Maqbool, national secretary, All India State Govt. Employees Federation and president JKCCTU.
The meeting endorsed the action programme unanimously as decided by the Central Trade Unions, Industrial Federation and other Central and State Govt Employees and semi-Govt Employees’ Organisations and adopted a resolution to mobilise the working class of the State to fully participate in the coming struggle.
The unions also decided to form a sponsoring committee of all the Trade Unions of the State to carry forward the struggle.
They further decided to hold a workers convention of all the unions jointly at Jammu to mobilise the employees and workers of the State and to decide the future course of action.
The prominent Trade Union leaders who participated in the meeting along with their office bearers were D R Sharma, Mahesh Padha, Preetam Singh (AITUC), Raj Kumar, Zakir Hussain (JKIWF), Gurmeet Singh, Ram Kumar Sharma, Ab Rashid Dada (JKCCTU), Suresh Sharma (PDOLU), Mohan Lal (KPPF), Rukhsana (JKAWHA), PC Sharma (PPEU), Krishen Koshal, Naresh Singh and many others.
