UDHAMPUR, June 30: A joint meeting of Beopar Mandal Udhampur and Chamber of Traders’ Federation was held here today for discussion over the alleged arrogant behaviour of Sales Tax authorities towards the traders.
The participants alleged that the Department of Taxes was imposing Inspector Raaj and issuing self assessed tax notices to small traders besides posting remarks by Addl Commissioner Sales Tax on social media regarding the traders associations.
The meet, presided over by Neeraj Anand, threatened a State wide protest against the Sales Tax authorities and appealed all the traders to remain united in their struggle against dictatorial attitude of the department.
