Deepak Gupta on this occasion said that the Lakhanpur Excise Toll levy was not less than a Jazia that continued even after the implementation of GST. Deepak Gupta said that when GST was implemented in the whole country, traders demonstrated outside the Warehouse and demanded the implementation of GST in Jammu and Kashmir. The traders were hopeful that the implementation of GST would give relief from Lakhanpur Toll Tax, but it did not. GST was implemented in Jammu and Kashmir and Toll Tax was not removed.
