Traders Federation distributes Labour Cards to Ware House workers

JAMMU, Jan 19: A special camp was organised by Traders Federation Ware House Nehru Market Jammu today in which Labour Cards were distributed among workers working in the market.
On this occasion, former Dy. Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria was chief guest who along with the Federation president, Deepak Gupta distributed the Labour Cards among 150 workers.
Speaking on the occasion Billawaria said that PM Modi led Government has started many welfare schemes for the people working in unorganized sector and out of which Labour Card the one.
He said that this Card provides social security to the beneficiaries along with financial help.
“If a Labour Card holder dies in an accident or becomes disabled in accident, his family is provided with financial help and pension from the Government,” he maintained adding that it has many other benefits also. Federation president, Deepak Gupta said, during the Corona pandemic, the workers of Warehouse Nehru Market risked their lives so that ration supply in J&K remains unaffected.
He further said that the Federation being a responsible organization displayed its responsibility and got Labour Cards for the labourers working in the market.
Senior vice-president of the Federation, Munish Mahajan; general secretary, Sham Langar; former president, Rattan Lal Gupta; Rajesh Bhagotra, Raj Kumar Gupta, Kirti Gupta, Ashok Kumar and other senior members were also present on the occasion.
