Traders pledge support to anti-corruption campaign of ex Mayor

JAMMU, Jan 6: Taking ahead the phase 2 of Imandar Jammu, Shandar Jammu, senior BJP leader and former Mayor, Rajinder Sharma today educated the traders of Roop Nagar, Chinore and Durga Nagar on ill effects of corruption.
Sharma was speaking at a function organised by the Traders Association of Roop Nagar, Chinore and Durga Nagar where he was chief guest while Neeraj Anand, vice president CAT (Confederation of All India Traders Association) was guest of honour.
The former Mayor asked the traders that his anti-corruption campaign Imandar Jammu, Shandar Jammu will soon complete the reach-out to 1.50 lakh students.
He stressed upon avoiding preference to caste based candidate in elections to public representative, shunning the habit of monetary considerations for voting a public representative and stressed on the gathering to prefer an educated candidate having proper knowhow of working of administration and Government as public representative.
The traders present on the occasion pledged to support the campaign and assured to download the commitment certificate from the website of ‘Imandar Jammu, Shandar Jammu’.
The former Mayor said that the movement of political orientation should start from Jammu.
His motto of ‘Kaam Karenge Budhi Se, Jeewan Jiyenge Shudhi Se’ was lauded by the traders.
Sharma also displayed the motivational documentaries of Sheetal Devi and those for ‘Imandar Jammu, Shandar Jammu’ over which the traders were very much influenced.
He said that commitment brings change and success and also quoted the example of Thomas Elva Edison who was expelled from his school but his mother motivated him to become a great scientist.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Manohar Singh, Ramesh Khajuria, Rahul Sharma, Sohan Agarwal and other executive members of Traders Association along with ex-Councilor, Kapil Singh Chib, Tripta Devi and Rekha Manhas.
