SRINAGAR: Traffic on the National Highway, connecting Kashmir Valley with the rest of the country was suspended this evening following slippery road condition, official sources said. Meanwhile, Traffic Police this evening issued advisory for the movement of vehicles on Srinagar-Jammu Highway from tomorrow till further orders.
Sources said due to snow and rain during the day and considerable drop in the temperature this evening, the road has become slippery at Qazigund and Jawahar tunnel. They said as a precautionary measure traffic on the Highway was suspended this evening to avoid any accident.
Sources said large number of vehicles are stranded on both sides of Qazigund and Jawahar Tunnel on the Highway. However, traffic will restored tomorrow subject to weather and road conditions, they said.
