Traffic police challans 100 vehicles

KATHUA, Dec 20: Traffic Police Kathua has launched a drive against the violators of traffic rules in the district under the supervision of SSP Traffic Kathua, Mohan Lal Kaith and Dy SP, Mr Salathia.
A team of Traffic Police Kathua led by DTI, Inspector, Abhishek Sharma challaned 100 vehciles for violation of traffic rules. The drivers were given warning against violation of traffic rules in future. During the drive the challans were made for overloading by matadors, buses and trucks, plying of vehicles without valid documents, insurance papers and pollution certificates. Besides, the two wheeler operators were also dealt under law for not wearing the helmets.
Abhishek Sharma during the drive asked the drivers to respect the rules which are for their safety. He said the Traffic Police is for the safety of passengers as well as drivers and by observing the traffic rules the accidents to a great extent can be avoided. He also made people aware about MVA and said the safety of people is the success of Traffic Police. He appealed the drivers to avoid overloading in buses and trucks in future and urged the two wheeler operators to make wearing of helmets mandatory.
