POONCH, June 21: A special drive was launched against overloading of vehicles by Traffic Police in Rajouri and Poonch districts.
Official sources said that all the DTIs and SOs of Traffic Police Rajouri-Poonch laid surprise nakas at different routes and checked the passenger buses, mini buses and other PSVs operating in Rajouri and Poonch. It was observed that drivers of PSVs overloaded their vehicles during morning and evening time.
In this regard 127 vehicles were challaned for overloading across Rajouri-Poonch and four vehicles were seized on the spot. During the special drive, teams challenged 243 vehicles for various violations. The exercise has been done under the close supervision of Nawaz Ahmed DySP Traffic Rajouri- Poonch and overall supervision of Vinay Kumar, SSP Traffic Rural Jammu.
