Traffic Police NHW launches drive against pressure horn

RAMBAN, Oct 19: Traffic Police, NHW Ramban, under the supervision of SSP (T) Rohit Baskotra today launched a special drive against traffic violators and booked 68 vehicles for using pressure horns.
The inspection team imposed Rs. 6.80 lakh fine on the erring drivers. The aim of the special drive was to remove the pressure horns from vehicles which are causing a great disturbance to the general public especially old aged persons, senior citizens as well as school going children among others.
The drivers and owners and the transport Unions have been asked to remove the pressure horns from their vehicles and follow the traffic rules properly.
The officer also appealed to the commuters to follow traffic rules and join hands to make the roads safe for all types of road users, right from pedestrians to motorists.
