JAMMU, July 19: Traffic Police City Jammu and Enforcement wing of R.T.O Jammu laid joint nakas at various locations including Bhagwati Nagar, Talab Tillo, Ambphalla Chowk to check overcharging and other traffic violations.
During the special drive, 76 vehicles particularly e-rikshaw, autos and mini-buses were booked for overcharging, overloading, plying vehicles without Fitness Certificate and Insurance Certificate etc.
E-Rikshaw drivers were directed to implement zones notification and ply their vehicles in their respectives zones. They were also directed to follow the guidelines issued by the Transport Department with respect to Passanger safety and levy of fare.
General Public is requested to cooperate with Traffic Police and lodge complaint against the E-rikshaw in case of Overcharging, SSP Traffic City Fiesel Qureshi said.
