RAJOURI, May 15: While enforcing traffic regulations and enhance road safety, the Traffic Police, under the supervision of DySP Traffic Nawaz Choudhary, seized seven vehicles and challaned about 100 others for various violations of traffic rules in Rajouri district today.
Official sources said that a team of Traffic police laid nakas at strategic check points along Rajouri-Thannamandi and Darhal routes. During the operation, 100 vehicles were challaned for breaching traffic regulations. The teams also seized four motorcycles, one Tata Magic, one Tata Sumo and one Tempo Traveler for serious violations.
The Traffic officials also imposed and recovered a fine of Rs 8300 on the spot as part of the rigorous enforcement efforts.
