SRINAGAR : Traffic on 300-km-long Srinagar-Jammu National Highway and 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh National Highway remained suspended due to landslides and flood at many places, triggered by heavy rains today. Official sources said Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, which connects Kashmir with the rest of the country, remained suspended for the fifth day today due to landslides and flood at many places following heavy rain during the last six days.
They said the roads linking the National Highway with the rest of the Valley have been flooded at many places. Thousands of vehicles remained stranded on the highway. Meanwhile, the highway connecting the Ladakh region with the rest of the state also remained suspended due to landslides for the fourth day today.
