KATHUA, Feb 18: Traffic remained suspended on Dayala Chak-Billawar road for about four hours today after landslides near Thein today.
Reports said due to massive land slides, the traffic on Dalaya Chak-Chhallan-Billawar road came to halt at around 12.30 pm today. A large number of vehicles including trucks remained stranded on both sides of the road. The R&B authorities then pressed workers and machines on restoration work. They managed to clear one way traffic around 5 pm. The concerned AEE said that road will be fully opened to traffic tomorrow.
He said the stranded vehicles were cleared after clearing road for one way traffic. He said nearly 200 ft area was affected with land slides.
