Training for Investigators on ‘Safety of Women’ commences

UDHAMPUR, July 24: A five day comprehensive training programme for Investigators on ‘Safety of Women’ commenced at S.K Police Academy (SKPA) here with participation of 21 police officers from across J&K.
The programme was inaugurated by Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP and Deputy Director (Indoor) at SKPA Udhampur.
Speaking on the occasion Rajinder Kumar Gupta extended a warm welcome to all the course participants on behalf of Academy’s Director.
Emphasizing the significance of the training, he urged the officers to enhance their professional competence as investigators, specifically focusing on offenses against women and children, including the ever-evolving realm of Cyber Crime.
A handout of SKPA stated that the prime objective of the training is to ensure that the cases of investigators handle should lead to successful convictions.
“To achieve this goal, the course is thoughtfully designed to encompass investigation skills and impart the latest knowledge of provisions of law, such as POCSO, JJ Act, IT Act etc. Eminent speakers from academia and renowned Cyber Forensic experts are slated to deliver lectures during the course, enriching the learning experience,” it maintained.
In addition to the distinguished guests, Dr. Kavita Suri, Director Department of Life Long Learning at University of Jammu, graced the inaugural function.
The coordination of this training programme is being handled by Sanjeev Gupta, Inspector and Inspector Vikrant Singh, both members of the faculty at the Academy.
