UDHAMPUR, Mar 9: The five day training programme for Investigators on ‘Women Safety’ sponsored by BPR&D, New Delhi which commenced on March 4 at S.K Police Academy (SKPA) concluded today.
Sixteen Police officers from ASI to Dy.SP rank including four lady officers attended the training.
The course was designed to accommodate investigation skills and knowledge of latest provisions of law including POCSO, JJ Act, IT Act etc.
Experienced guest speakers including Shalini Sharma, Member Juvenile Justice Board Jammu; Kanika Gupta, District Social Welfare Officer Udhampur; Ashwani Kumar, Sr. PO at District Court Reasi; Dr. Savita Nayyar, Prof. at Department of Law, University of Jammu; Rakesh Sambyal, CPO SKPA, Sukhvir Singh; Dy.SP, AD (Admn) SKPA; Amit Parkash Seghal, Sr.PO, SKPA; Inspector Rakesh Manni, SKPA; Inspector Paramjeet Singh, SKPA and Inspector Isha Mahajan, SHO Women P/S Udhampur shared their wide range of knowledge with participants on different topics.
On valediction function, Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP SKPA was chief guest and he advised the participants to be sensitive towards women victims and stressed for adopting guidelines for the purpose laid from time to time.
He further said that objective of the course was to enhance capacity of investigating officers especially in women related cases.
The valediction was also attended by faculty of SKPA.
The course was coordinated by Tilak Raj, Inspector assisted ASI Rajinder Singh.
