Training on new Criminal Laws-2023 starts at PTTI

VIJAYPUR, Feb 22: A five day crash course on new Criminal Laws-2023 commenced today at PTTI Vijaypur in which 50 Police personnel including SHOs, In-charge Police Posts and Investigating Officers from various Police units of Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range are participating.
The training is being organized on the direction of J&K Police Headquarters to familiarize the cops with key provisions of new Criminal Laws-2023 recently promulgated by the Central Government so that these laws are implemented on ground in letter and spirit. The course was inaugurated by Dushyant Sharma, SSP who in his inaugural address emphasized on the participants to gain knowledge of all the three new Criminal Laws—Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita-2023 and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam-2023 for their proper use on ground after implementation of these laws.
Pawan Khajuria, Joint Director Prosecution (Retd) was guest speaker on the occasion and he educated the trainees to focus on understanding the New Criminal Laws to address contemporary challenges in law enforcement.
Among others, Khushwant Singh, Dy.SP (Admn.); Surrinder Paul, Dy.SP (Indoor/Tech.); Ch. Asif Iqbal, Sr.PO and Course Coordinator of the Course; Ram Lal, (CLI); Inspector Surinder Singh (CDI) and Inspector Mulkh Raj were also present on the occasion.
