Training Prog conducted in SPMR Commerce College

JAMMU, Dec 12: Government SPMR College of Commerce today started 10-day Trainer’s Training Programme in Theatre.
An IQAC initiative, the programme was conducted by the Cultural and Literary Committee under the patronship of Principal of the College Dr Surinder Kumar.
Around 45 students from six colleges namely Govt College for Women Parade, GGM Science College, MAM College, GCW Gandhi Nagar, GCOE Jammu along with the host college participated. The Trainer’s Training is being conducted by Deepak Kumar, founder of RanYug.
The Principal of the College lauded the initiative taken by IQAC for training the students in theatrical skills. He said that it is for the first time such kind of training has taken place among the colleges in Jammu district.
Prof Archana Kaul, IQAC Coordinator gave a detailed description about the programme and talked at length about the creation and establishment of Theatre Clubs in the participating colleges. Formal welcome note was given by Prof Deepshikha Sharma, Convener Cultural and Literary Committee. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Prof Harpreet Kour and formal vote of thanks was given by Prof Rajni Bala. The programme was attended by Dr Monika Malhotra, Dr Sandhya Bhardwaj, Dr Nazia Rasool, Prof Reeta Menia, Prof Ashu Manhas, Prof Apfan Ali, Dr Anu Malhotra, Dr Rita Sharma and other faculty members.
