Training prog on ‘Women Safety’ inaugurated at SKPA

UDHAMPUR, Dec 10: S.K Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur, today inaugurated a comprehensive 5-day training programme for investigators on the topic ‘Safety of Women’.
About 24 Police officers from various districts of J&K participated in the programme which was inaugurated by Rajinder Gupta, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor/Trainings) along with Kavita Suri, Professor at University of Jammu.
The inaugural ceremony featured a warm welcome by Rajinder Gupta on behalf of Academy’s Director. Addressing the participants, he underscored the importance of enhancing investigative skills, particularly in cases involving women and children, including the rapidly expanding domain of cybercrime. Gupta emphasized the crucial objective of securing successful convictions through meticulous investigations and adherence to legal provisions.
The training programme is designed to equip participants with advanced investigative techniques and comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws, including the POCSO Act, Juvenile Justice Act, IT Act and other pertinent legislations.
To enrich the learning experience, the course will feature lectures by distinguished speakers from Police Academy, academia and eminent experts in cyber forensics.
The course is being coordinated by Inspector Rakesh Manni and assisted by SI Avtar Krishan, member faculty SKPA.
