Training program for IFS officers inaugurated at SMVDU

JAMMU, Oct 8: A one-week National Level Training Program for Officers of Indian Forest Services (IFS) organized by the School of Business, Faculty of Management, Shri Mata Vaishno University (SMVDU) was inaugurated here today.
The inaugural session of the event was attended by IFS Officers from all across the country.
In the inaugural address, Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU and Chief Guest for the event emphasized the relevance of conduction of this type of training program which are not only relevant for trainees but also the trainers for better learning to take place.
The Guest of Honor B.K. Singh, PCCF, J&K elaborated upon the kind of wildlife in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and measures being taken by the Department in conservation of the natural biodiversity of the region keeping in mind the ongoing technology oriented urban developmental activities for promotion of eco-tourism.
Prof. Jyoti Sharma, Program Coordinator highlighted the need for officials to manage their day-to-day decision making strategies for effective conduct at work places for making them conducive for one and all.
Prof Ashutosh Vashishta, Dean Faculty of Management, elaborated upon how SMVD University is emphasizing on the quality aspects to ensure the healthy work culture amongst members of different strata – Faculty, Staff & Students.
IFS officers from different parts of the country including Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, etc are participating in this training program.
