Training programme on ‘Safety of Women’ begins at SKPA

UDHAMPUR, Mar 4: A comprehensive five -day training programme for Investigators on the crucial subject of “Safety of Women” began today at the Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy in Udhampur.
The course has attracted participation from 16 Police officers hailing from various regions across Jammu & Kashmir. The primary objective of the course is to ensure that the cases they handle lead to successful convictions. To achieve this goal, the course is thoughtfully designed to encompass investigation skills and impart the latest knowledge of provisions of law, such as POCSO, JJ Act, IT Act, and others of relevance.
An impressive inaugural function was organized to mark the occasion. The inauguration of the programme was undertaken by SSP Rajinder Gupta, Deputy Director (Indoor/ Training). Shalini Sharma, Member Juvenile Justices Board Jammu, was also present on the occasion.
SSP Rajinder Gupta extended a warm welcome to all the course participants on behalf of the Academy’s Director. Emphasizing the significance of the training, he urged the officers to enhance their professional competence as investigators, specifically focusing on offenses against women and children, including the ever-evolving realm of Cyber Crime.
Eminent speakers from academia and renowned Cyber Forensic experts are slated to deliver lectures during the course, enriching the learning experience.
The coordination of this critical training programme is being handled by Inspector Tilak Raj and ASI Rajinder Singh, both members of the faculty at the academy.
