MENDHAR, June 15: With the burning of transformer in border area of Mankot tehsil in Mendhar sub-division of Poonch district, the consumers are without power for the last many days.
People of the area, who are facing lot of difficulties due to no light during these days are approaching the senior PDD officers but no respite has been provided till date.
Local residents, Mohd Azam and Sumit Sharma said that PDD officers have not given proper attention to their problem and they are being forced to agitate and block the road.
The locals appealed to the Chief Engineer PDD Jammu and Executive Engineer PDD Poonch to issue instructions to the concerned officials at Mankot to immediately replace the burnt transformer and provide light to the consumers.
