RAJOURI, Mar 1: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today said there is no space for corrupt practices or persons in the present Government as transparency and accountability are its benchmarks.
The Minister stated this while addressing a joint meeting of prominent citizens and district officers at Kalakote Rajouri today.
The Minister said various initiatives have been taken by the Government to bring transparency and accountability in the functioning of all departments. Linking of ration cards with Aadhaar is a step in the same direction, he added.
The Minister said FCS&CA Department is working hard to complete digitization process expeditiously to curb black marketing and to make Public Distribution System more transparent in the State. He further added that installation of fingerprint based machines at all food stores is going on. Once installed and put to use, the process would drastically reduce the pilferage to zero level, he added.
Terming inclusive growth and development of State as the priority of the Government, the Minister said that developing each and every corner of the State is the aim of Government. “The Government is committed to create such an environment where every citizen should get his due right irrespective of his religion, region or political alliance”, he added.
The Minister directed the concerned officers to expedite the pace of various developmental works for timely completion of these projects.
District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat, Senior Superintendent of Police Suleman Choudhary, ADDC Avtar Singh Chib, PO IWMP Shafiq Ahmed, Assistant Director FCS&CA Javed Iqbal , DSWO Dr.Abdul Khabir, besides others district and sectoral were also present in the meeting.
