Transporters playing vital role in promoting tourism, economic growth in J&K: Kavinder

JAMMU, Mar 6: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister today emphasized the significant role played by transporters in promoting tourism in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
He made these remarks while intensifying the party’s Social Sampark Abhiyan, during an interaction with transporters here, today. The event was organized by the party’s Transport Cell.
On the occasion, Rakesh Gupta, In-charge of All Cells, BJP J&K, Ashutosh Gupta, convener of the Transport Cell, Roshan Lal and Sanjeev Sharma, co-conveners, as well as Jugal Gandotra and Vijay Chowdhary were present.
During the interaction, Kavinder recognized the critical role played by transporters in promoting tourism and facilitating economic growth in Jammu and Kashmir. By engaging with the transporters and understanding their concerns, he said that the party is committed to address their issues and contribute to the overall development of the region.
Kavinder Gupta stressed the importance of such social meetings, aiming to establish a strong connection with the party and ensure the transporters’ active involvement in decision-making processes. He reiterated that the BJP is dedicated to working for the welfare of all sections of society.
Kavinder listened attentively to the issues faced by the transporters and assured them of swift resolution. He also took up their concerns with the Commissioner Secretary of the Transport Department, apprising him of the challenges faced by the transporters. The Commissioner Secretary, in response, assured that their issues would be effectively addressed.
Rakesh Mahajan also highlighted that the BJP is the only party that has a dedicated Transport Cell, which actively seeks the views and feedback of transporters in formulating the party’s manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
