JAMMU, Mar 19: All J&K Transport Welfare Association has postponed its scheduled strike on March 21 following an assurance by the Transport Commissioner J&K to positively consider their demands.
The assurance was given during a meeting of the Association, led by its chairman T S Wazir, with Transport Commissioner at the latter’s office today.
According to Mr Wazir, the Commissioner gave full assurance to the Passenger Transporters that their burning problems will be solved very soon following which a decision was taken to postpone the scheduled strike till further meeting, which will be held after one week.
