Treat FCI workers of J&K at par with other States: Sharma

JAMMU, Mar 30: Member Parliament, Jammu-Poonch constituency Madan Lal Sharma strongly voiced for the departmentalization of the Food Corporation of India workers of J&K and asked the Government to work towards treating them at par with other States, wherein their duties are permanent in nature and are eligible to many schemes and facilities.
He said this, while addressing a convention of Food Corporation of India (FCI) Worker’s Union at rail head complex, here today.
Sharma also endorsed the demands of workers like enhancing number of labourer as per vacancy and out sourcing in the shape of contracts, increasing number of trucks and alternate route to new godown Jammu.
He lauded the role of FCI workers for the smooth and timely supplies and advocated to develop strong system and policies to work further for strengthening the system.
BA Naaz, Vice Chairman G&B Advisory board, Kuldeep Raj Verma, Vice Chairman OBC Advisory Board, Jaideep Kashap, DGM FCI, Romesh Neik, Area Manager, FCI Jammu, Haniesh Chander Sharma, vice president, FCI Worker Union, Vijay Kumar, CCM, Jamat Ali, president, Godown Committee, HC Sharma, vice president and a large number of labour leaders and workers were present on the occasion.
BA Naaz and Kuldeep Raj Verma also addressed the convention and impressed upon the need to enhance facilities and system for the FCI Workers of the State.
