Trg prog on ‘Gender Sensitization and Forensic Trg’ concludes at SKPA

JAMMU, Oct 19: A three-day training program on “Gender Sensitization and Forensic Training,” sponsored by the National Commission for Women (NCW), concluded here at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) today.
A statement said that 22 police officers/officials from across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir attended the training program.
It said that the program focussed on enhancing participants’ skills and knowledge in understanding women’s rights, promoting gender equality, and addressing gender-based violence. It also provided training in forensic techniques to improve investigation and evidence collection.
Notable speakers and lecturers during the program included Shalini Sharma, Member Juvenile Justice Board Jammu, Prof Neeru Sharma from the University of Jammu, Nayeem Abass Hamdani, Cyber Consultant, Rohit Koul, Scientific Officer from FSL Jammu, Sandeep Mahajan, Inspector Sanjeev Gupta, and Rakesh Manni, Inspector from the faculty of SKPA.
The valediction function featured Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor, Trgs) as the Chief Guest, who emphasized the importance of addressing gender inequality on a global scale and encouraged participants to advocate for gender equality and share their knowledge within their peer groups.
The course was coordinated by Sanjeev Gupta, Inspector, who was assisted by Sukhvir Singh, SI.
