Trg workshop on CRS held

JAMMU, Nov 19: A training-cum-workshop on Civil Registration System (CRS) was organized by Directorate of Economics & Statistics, J&K here today.
The programme was organized in collaboration with the Registrar General of India to sensitize the stake holders associated with vital statistics concerning birth and death of people in various districts. Director E&S B R Lachotra, Director Family Welfare Kuldeep Kesar, Dr Danish Rana Distt Health Officer Jammu, Health Officer JMC Dr Vinod Sharma besides others were present on the occasion.
Mr Lachotra while  inaugurating the workshop apprised the participants about the need and importance of civil registration system. He stressed upon the field functionaries to register timely birth and death  and other related events accurately to ensure 100 % coverage. He said necessary training is being given to the village Chowkidars by the resource persons.
