UDHAMPUR, Mar 10: On the second day, trial run of Cheneni – Nashri tunnel continued successfully today from 0900 Hrs to 1000 Hrs and then from 1430 Hrs to 1730 Hrs.
A large number of vehicles passed through the tunnel and brought relief and smiles to the people passing through the tunnel.
All vehicles passing through the tunnel were briefed on Dos and Don’ts and precautions to be taken while crossing the tunnel.
A number of vehicles were held for traffic violations and let off with a warning while a
Vehicle, bearing registration number JK14D- 4435, was seized for rash driving. The vehicle was moving at a high speed inside the tunnel. It was challaned by the local police.
All vehicles passing through the tunnel were advised not to overspeed or overtake.
