RAMBAN, Dec 31: A meeting of All J&K Gaddi Sabha was held here today at Bhaloit, Bibrota in Tehsil Rajgarh under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Kumar, president youth wing of the Sabha.
Speaking in the meeting Tribal Gaddi community people raised different issues regarding their up-liftment.
They said that despite several initiatives taken by the Government of J&K there is no development in the areas inhabited by Gaddi people as these areas even lack Aanganwari Centres and approachable school facility.
“Tribal Gaddi children have to travel about 7 km from their home to reach the school,” they claimed.
Speakers in the meeting requested the LG administration to look into the miseries of far flung areas inhabited by tribal Gaddi people and provide basic facilities to such areas in the interest of poor Gaddi community people so that they may also lead a normal life.
The meeting was organised by Kewal Lalhal.
Pritam Singh, Amar Chand, Surjeet Singh, Om Parkash, Kiker Singh, Kuldeep Raj, Tara Chand, Ishwar Dass, Rattan Lal, Swami Raj, Kaku Ram, Hem Raj, Subash, Romesh, Chain Singh, Mohan Dass, Des Raj, Mohinder Kumar and others were also present in the meeting.
