JAMMU, Mar 18: Master Sohan Lal Social Reforms and Charitable Trust today organised a program to pay homage to BJP National Council Executive Member and former state president BJP Kisan Morcha Master Sohan Lal Sharma on his 19th death anniversary.
Program started with enchanting of Geeta shlokas by students of Sanskrit Bharti. Paying homage, Sanatan Dharam Sabha president Purshottam Dadhichi said that Master Sohan Lal was a product of Praja Parishad and Jan Sangh Aandolan who are inspiration for todays cadre of BJP.
BJP senior leader Chander Mohan Sharma said that though Sohan Lal was a political leader but he is remembered as a social reformer and fought for the upliftment of Dalit downtrodden and farmers. Parbhakar Shastri recalled his service towards Bawa Kailakh Dev Mandir by which it became an institution of social reforms.
Trust president Shakti Dutt Sharma said that many social and cultural programmes are done by Trust for the welfare of the society. Other prominent persons present were Ambedkar Gupta, Ashok Singh Chib, Corporator Kuldeep Chib, Rekha Jamwal social Activist, Nazir Kotia, Kamal Sharma, Sunil Raka, Sahil Seth.
