JAMMU, Mar 23: Rich tribute were paid to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev by various social and political organizations, here today.
Minister for FCS&CA, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Information Technology, Science and Technology, ARI & Trainings, Satish Sharma paid rich tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev at a function here today.
Satish Sharma, while paying tribute to the martyrs, said that the trio of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru have made the supreme sacrifice in the revered feet of Bharat Mata.
“Their sacrifice inspired millions of people and fuelled the spirit of freedom struggle against the British rule” he said.
The event was organised by Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation under the supervision of Dr Karan Singh.
Arvind Gupta, senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu West, paid heartfelt tribute to Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh on his Balidan Diwas.
Gupta hailed Bhagat Singh as an epitome of patriotism, courage, and selfless service to the nation.
He emphasized the need for the younger generation to draw inspiration from Bhagat Singh’s ideology and commitment to national integrity.
Senior Congress leaders also paid their tribute to the freedom fighters.
They recalled their supreme sacrifice and also remembered one of their companion freedom fighter of Jammu Comrade Dhanvantry. The leaders included Th Balwan Singh, Ravinder Sharma, Shabir Ahmed Khan, Thakur Hari Singh Chib, Narinder Sharma, Ch Hussain Ali Wafa, Sahil Sharma, Ch Rashiq Inqlabi, Th Romal Singh, Madan Gopal Dubey, Vijay Sharma and Jung Bhadur
Sadguru Baba Kanshi Giri Ji (Bangang Wale) Charitable Trust Banpuri-Sunderbani, organized a blood donation camp.
The camp held to pay tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, witnessed an overwhelming response from the public, with 100 donors coming forward to donate blood.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Guru Gosain Brij Bhushan Ji Maharaj, who paid tribute to the martyrs.
Freedom Fighters Memorial Association (FFMA) organized a programme to pay their tribute to martyrs, here today.
The programme was presided over by the Chairman of association, Rajiv Mahajan in presence of Patron-in-chief, Ved Gandotra.
To commemorate the 95th Martyrdom Day, Kisan Sabha organized a function today.
Speaking on the occasion, president of Kisan Sabha, Hari Chand Jalmeria said that Bhagat Singh and his associates had clear vision of overthrowing the British imperialist rule and establishing socialism in India where there would be no room for exploitation of man by man.
“There is need to again look into the ideals of Bhagat Singh and carry the same among the people,” stressed Jalmeria.
Shaheed divas was observed by Management Committee of Rehan Basera (Shelter Home for Urban Homeless).
B L Aswal, Chief Engineer NHPC JKUT was chief guest on this occasion.
Speaking on this occasion, B L Aswal said that our youth should work for unity and integrity of country. They should honour freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country, fondly known as martyrs.
Shamlal Basson, ex-Corporator said that this committee always observe birth and death anniversary of freedom fighters, mahapursha and educationists.
Chairman, J&K Intellectual Civil Society, New Delhi, S S Sodhi, along with other members of the association, paid a rich tribute to the revolutionary leaders Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru.
Recalling gusto and courage of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru to stand up against the British rule which inspired India’s youth in the struggle for India’s freedom, Sodhi said that youth should get inspired by the sacrifices of their country’s freedom fighters and be ready to serve their nation with a sacrificing spirit.
