JAMMU, Dec 18: Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Committee paid rich tributes to freedom fighters Ashfaqulla Khan and Ram Prasad Bismil.
A seminar was organized at Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee Complex Chand Nagar to pay rich tribute to the heroes of national independence in which comrades, senior trade union leaders, prominent citizens shared their views.
While speaking on the occasion, Comrade Sukhdev Singh said Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee salutes to freedom fighters. He added that both Ashfaqulla Khan and Ram Prasad Bismil were writers and had written many articles. He also highlighted some of the poems written by Ram Prasad Bismil including ‘Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna’.
Advocate Jamil Kazmi, GL Chanda, Nirdosh Uppal, Sukhbir Singh, President Gurdwara Baba Chanda Singh, Kulvinder Singh, President Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dev, Chand Nagar, Shivnandan, Girdhari Lal, Payara Singh, SR Sudhir, Comrade Saroop Singh, Inder Mohinder Tar Singh, Comrade Pritam Singh were also present on the occasion.
