JAMMU, Mar 18: Rich tributes were paid to social reformer Master Sohan Lal Sharma on his 11th death anniversary by the members of Master Sohan Lal Social Reforms Charitable Trust, in a simple function organized here today.
A large no of people from different walks of life attended the function. Speaking on the occasion, Shakti Dutt Sharma, Chairman of the Trust, said that late Master Sohan Lal was a visionary social reformer. He worked for down trodden people of society without considering their caste, creed or colour.
“People still remember services rendered by Late Master Sohan Lal as he too belongs to middle class family. Despite financial constraints, he never turned downed whenever somebody sought help from him”, he added.
Sharma further informed that the trust has started many social programmes for upliftment of people of weaker section of society and forwarding mission of Master Sohan Lal. The function concluded with a community langar organized outside Baba Kailakh Dev Mandir, Bantalab.
