SRINAGAR, Feb 5: Gurdwara Committee Mehjoor Nagar organised shabad kirtan and langer to pay homage to 7 Sikhs, who were killed on February 3 in 2001 at Mehjoor Nàgar firing.
Despite heavy snow, a large number Sikhs were present to remember the sacrifice of 7 Sikhs during Kashmir turmoil in an unprovoked firing.
APSCC Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina said that Sikhs have suffered economically in an ongoing turmoil in the Valley. Many such incidents like Mejoor Nagar and Chittisingpora killing has gone without any probe by State and as well by Centre Governments, he said, adding that despite that the Sikhs are contributing to bring peace in the Valley.
