JAMMU Apr 22: Rich tributes were paid to former Minister and senior National Conference leader Bodh Raj Bali on his 12th death anniversary, with speakers highlighting his contribution for the development and progress of the region.
In a function held at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan here the speakers while paying tributes to Mr Bali said that Mr Bali worked tirelessly for the upliftment of poor and down-trodden in different capacities. They added that his contribution in strengthening National Conference at the grass roots level in Jammu province remains high point of his political career.
“Mr Bali worked with both Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah and Dr Farooq Abdullah and galvanized the party at all levels”, they said.
The NC leaders highlighted different facets of Mr Bali’s political career and said his self-less work will continue to inspire generations.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Rattan Lal Gupta, Kashmira Singh, Bashir Ahmed, Pradeep Bali, Bushan Lal Bhat, Bashir Ahmed Wani , Ch Haroon, Gurdeep Singh Sasan, Vijay Lochan, Reeta Gupta and Veena Oberai.
