KATHUA, Jan 27: Rich tributes were paid to martyred Captain Sunil Choudhary on his eleventh death anniversary.
Army officers, family members of martyr, ex-servicemen, President Municipal Council Kathua Naresh Kumar and civilians in large number paid floral tribute to Captain Sunil choudhary, who attained martyrdom while fighting with Ulfa militants in North East on January 27, 2008.
Colonel PL Choudhary, father of the martyr said that his young son in the age of 23 has scarifies their lives in North East while fighting with militants. “My son was decorated with highest second honour of Kirti Chakra”, he informed.
He appealed to the youth to join the security forces to fulfil their responsibilities towards the nation. “Youth need to get inspirations from our martyrs who had sacrificed their lives in Kashmir so that we can live with peace in our homes”, he added.
He said the Army is playing a vital role to restoring the peace in Kashmir.
