JAMMU, Sept 25: Prominent Dalit leaders in large number assembled at Guru Nabha Ji Bhavan, Dogra Hall here today and paid rich tributes to social reformer, late Maheshar Dass Dardi who died in Jammu on September 12, 2019 in his nineties.
A handout stated that Dardi remained Chairman of Guru Nabha Dass Trust and President of All J&K Masha Sadar Sabha and worked for the upliftment of Scheduled Caste community.
A handout also stated that Dardi was very close associate of Sheikh Abdullah, Bhagat Chhajju Ram, Babu Milkhi Ram, Masha Nahar Singh, Babu Parmanand.
Paying tribute to Dardi, R.K Kalsotra State President, All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations talked about his long association with Dardi.
Master Hans Raj, M.R Bangotra, Bodh Raj Rao, Som Taroch, Bansi Lal, N.D Rajwal and others were also present on the occasion.
