Trikuta Nagar residents call on Dr Jitendra, submit list of demands

JAMMU, Oct 16: A delegation of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) called on Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State in PMO with Independent charge of Science and Technology here and presented memento to him for successful mission of Chanderyan 3.
TNWS Jammu also submitted the list of the demands to him. The delegation appealed the Minister to issue directives to concerned authorities so that the demands are solved.
The delegation demanded slashing of fees for free hold rights in favour of Trikuta Nagar residents which are very high at present as the residents are mostly senior citizens and retired pensioners and can’t to pay such huge amount . The Board of directors of JDA should review the decision as Rs. one lakh for one Kanal is acceptable to every resident, it added.
The delegation demanded that Urban Health Training Center of Trikuta Nagar be upgraded to Urban Health Community Centre with required specialist doctors and adequate staff as the colony is fully established. Besides, a mini play field with the provisions of Basketball Court,Badminton Court and Skating Ring for the youth and kids of the colony be constructed. Multiple car parking complex in the main market of Trikuta Nagar be established as there is day to day parking problem especially in the lanes of the colony. One new borewell in Ward 54 Trikuta Nagar Colony be dug as water level in present water pumps has depleted and residents were facing acute shortage of drinking water.
The delegation said that there is no Ayurvedic Hospital in South Jammu so, a fully equipped Ayurvedic Hospital be established in Trikuta Nagar. It demanded Widening of bridge on nallah of sector 4- 5 of wards 53 – 54 Trikuta Nagar as this bridge have junction of six roads which cause accidents, and Vande Bharat Express be run from SMVD Katra-to Chandigarh for the Jammuties so that students and employees studying and servicing in Chandigarh and senior citizens going for treatments to Chandigarh can avail the facility.
The Minister assured for early redressal of the demands.
The TNWS was led by Rajinder Parshad Kakkar its president who was accompanied by Ashok Kumar Arora, Vijay Gupta, Amarjeet Singh, Dr. Arun Gandotra, Varinder Kumar Suri and Harshvardhan Gupta.
