JAMMU, Mar 27: Residents of Trikuta Nagar (Ward 53 and 54) today highlighted their grievances with regard to sanitation and repair of lanes and drains of the area.
In a meeting organized today under the chairmanship of Chanchal Popli at her residence in Trikuta Nagar, the speakers discussed the issues like black topping and repair work of lanes and by lanes, repair work of drainage system, clearing of debris and garbage lying along the drains and regular collection of waste from house to house.
The issues like proper maintenance of existing street lights and installation of new street lights, fumigation of pesticides on drains and nallas and proper vigil by police in view of present security situation, were also figured in the meeting.
All the participants unanimously decided to meet concerned Government agencies for redressal of all their problems. Besides, duties were allotted to various groups amongst the residents to follow the issues at war footing with the Government agencies.
