Trilingual translation of ‘Shri Sukhmani Sahib Ji’ released

JAMMU, Dec 27: Nami Dogri Sanshta (NDS) in collaboration with Jammu Civil Society for Art and Literature here today released trilingual translation of ‘Shri Sukhmani Sahib Ji’ by Fazil Kashmiri.
Vijay Bakaya, former MLC was the chief guest on the occasion whereas the function was presided over by eminent Punjabi writer Khalid Hussain.
Sohail Kazmi, Aslam Qureshi, President, Jammu Civil Society for Art and Literature and Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, President, Nami Dogri Sanstha also co-shared the dais.
S.S Bijral, former IGP was felicitated on the occasion for the 2nd edition publication and his outstanding services for the cause.
Lalit Sharma in his opening address said that Shri Sukhmani Sahib is prayer of peace and joy of mind for the devotees and mankind. He said that Shri Sukmani Sahib composed in Gauri raga by fifth Guru of Sikhs Sri Arjan Dev Ji deals with efforts for spiritual progress. He said the release of 2nd edition of trilingual translation of Shri Sukmani Sahib Ji is most auspicious and historical occasion for NDS.
Vijay Bakaya in his address said that Shri Sukhmani Sahib emphasises upon practising holiness as it reduces man’s propensity to sin, stresses the need of good behaviour, makes us to learn to thank God for various gifts and treasures, developing on the attributes of saints and enlightens us to appreciate the God oriented man.
