UDHAMPUR, Mar 16: Conductor of truck was crushed to death after he fell from the moving vehicle on Jammu –Srinagar National Highway at Jakhaini Chowk, here today.
According to the information received, the deceased conductor was hanging on door of the truck number JK05H 2091, which was going towards the Valley. As he slipped and fell on the road, rear tyres of the truck ran over him.
Police and locals rushed to the spot and took him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Muzamil (21), son of Mohd Rafiq, resident of Hirl Mawar Handwara, District Kupwara. Police have registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, a young man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Darsoo Nallah in Udhampur. The deceased was identified as Ajay Singh (31), son of Romal Singh, resident of Kishan Pur. A case Under Section 174 CrPC has been registered at Udhampur Police Station for further investigation.
