RAMBAN, May 20: A truck conductor slipped to death at Devsool near Khooni Nallah here today.
As per police sources, a truck conductor identified as Talib Hussain (18), a resident of Rakbada Shangus in Anantnaag stepped out of his Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK02AG-7873 which had halted due to traffic jam at Devsool near Khooni Nallah here. While urinating, the conductor slipped into deep gorge and died on the spot.
On getting information, teams of UTDRF, QRT and police reached the spot and brought his body to the road and took it to the mortuary of District Hospital Ramban.
A case under relevant Sections was registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
Meanwhile, the search operation resumed early morning today by the deep divers of Army was suspended today afternoon without any success of finding bodies of any of the six missing persons who had drowned in river Chenab alongwith the Srinagar bound Innova car yesterday morning.
In the accident, one person was killed and two others were rescued. They all hailed from Bijnore area of Uttar Pradesh and were employed in a bakery in Srinagar.
