UDHAMPUR, Sept 20: A truck driver died when his vehicle collided with a Tipper on the Dhar Road, near Roun- Domail, here today while a labourer of Power Development Depar-tment received electric shock while working on a pole.
According to the reports, a Tipper bearing registration number JK08C-0345 was on its way from Manwal to Udhampur when it collided with a Truck PB06L-3638, which was coming from Kashmir to Pathankot. In the accident, truck driver Raj Kumar (29) son of Jeevan Kumar of Pathankot, sustained critical injuries. Locals rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur but he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, a Labourer of PDD received electric shock at Gaghot in Ramnagar, here today. He sustained 35 percent burns in the electric shock while working on a pole. He was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur for treatment and his condition was stated to be out of danger.
