JAMMU, Apr 18: A Punjab based truck driver was today found dead in his own truck at Kaluchak area of city outskirts.
“The deceased has been identified as Sukhbir Singh, son of Tirth Singh and a resident of Hoshiarpur in Punjab. He was about 55 years of age”, a police spokesperson said.
He said the body of the deceased was found this evening in his stationary truck (bearing registration number PB11AX-9041) at Kaluchak, after a shopkeeper of the area informed the police that a truck was standing in front of his shop since morning.
“No injury mark has been found on the body of the deceased truck driver”, he said, adding his body has been shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for conducting autopsy.
“A case has been registered at concerned police station and investigations started under Section 174 CrPC”, he said.
