DODA, May 26: A driver was killed, when the truck he was driving plunged into gorge near Marmat.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JKO2AF-3365 carrying fertilizer of Agriculture Department was on its way to Marmat plunged into 150-feet deep gorge late last night.
On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and retrieved the body of the driver, who has been identified as Mohammad Mukhtiyar Chand, son of Amarnath of RS Pura, Jammu.
After completing legal formalities, the body has been handed over to family members for last rites.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
