KISHTWAR, Dec 12: Helper of truck was killed here today while the diver sustained serious injuries as the truck rolled down into a deep gorge near Nadi Balan, 6 km from Margan Top.
The ill fated truck bearing registration number JK03K-2017 was driven by Mumtaz, 32, son of Mohd Ismail, resident of Mathendu and was on way to Warwan from Anatnag when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it plunged into a gorge leaving both the persons onboard injured.
Immediately after the accident, locals along with the cops started operation to retrieve the onboard persons from the truck but by then the helper Muzaffar Ali, 28, son of Irshad Ahmed, resident of Guridraman had succumbed to his injuries.
Driver of the truck was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
