KATHUA, Aug 26: Six persons were injured after a truck went out of control as its brakes failed and slammed a number of vehicles at the busy Railway Road here today.
As per police sources, a truck bearing registration number RJ31GA-8665 suffered brake failure and hit several vehicles on the busiest Railway road here. In the accident, six persons received injuries and as many vehicles suffered damages.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to GMC Hospital, where their condition was stated to be out of danger, when last reports came in.
The injured were identified as Raj Kumar, son of Dharam Chand of Ward Number 6 Kathua, Sunil Kumar Pandey, son of Rajinder Kumar Pandey of Bihar, at present CTM Colony, Dhan Singh, son of Tula Singh of Uttarakhand, at present Hatli Morh, Ritesh Kumar, son of Mahesh Prasad of Bihar, at present CTM Colony, Shashi Paul, son of Thoru Ram of Jakhbar Kathua and Sanjay, son of Raghav of Bihar, at present CTM Colony.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Kathua and investigation started.
