JAMMU, May 21: Jhajjar Kotli Police arrested a trucker along with 1430 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information, a police team led by SDPO Nagrota Mohan lal Sharma along with SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Rajesh Khajuria and PSI Rajat Magotra intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB35N-9367 at Suketar.
During checking, police team recovered 1430 kilograms of poppy straw from the truck and arrested the driver, who was identified as Sanjeev Kumar, son of Tara Singh of Tajpur, Jallandhar, Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 95/2020 under section 8/15/25 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
