JAMMU, Oct 22: Jhajjar Kotli Police arrested a trucker along with large quantity of poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Devinder Singh laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02U-2569.
During checking, police team recovered 73.360 kilograms of poppy straw from the truck and arrested the driver, who was identified as Krishan Lal, son of Sandokhu Ram of Sheikhupur Tehsil Arnia District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 170/2021 under Section 8/15/25 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
