KATRA, Feb 1: Muskan Charitable Trust today felicitated valiant personnel of police, security forces and some sportspersons by conferring them with Muskan Star Awards.
In a function organised at Spiritual Centre here the Trust honoured Raj Kumar for informing security forces about the hideout of terrorists.
Others honoured on this occasion were CRPF Deputy Commandant, Harsh Pal Singh; SDPO Nagrota, Mohan Sharma; Sub Inspector, Mohammad Iqbal; Constable, Zakir Hussain and CRPF’s Pancham Singh, Bhanu Pratap Singh and JKP’s Yash Pal Singh.
Apart from this, CRPF Jawan Harvinder Singh who got martyred in a landslide incident at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine was also felicitated posthumously on this occasion with Muskan Star Award.
The Trust also felicitated 33 children for winning Gold and Bronze at international sports events.
About 50 poor children were given blankets to beat the cold of the winter season.
DC Reasi, Dr Sagar Datatrey was the chief guest on this occasion while SP Katra, Naresh Singh; CEO Katra Municipality, Jagdish Mehra, Chairman, Bimal Indu, Trust President, Sandeep Mehra, Vice President, Rakesh Kumar, Spokesperson, Dr Chander Mohan and others were also present.
